As an employer providing health insurance benefits, it’s crucial to stay informed about changes that can impact your employees. On May 9, 2024, the IRS announced the updated 2025 inflation-adjusted amounts for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs). Understanding these adjustments will help you guide your workforce effectively and ensure your benefits packages align with the latest standards.

    • Family Coverage: For those with family coverage, the contribution limit will rise to $8,550, a $250 increase from the prior year.
    • Catch-Up Contributions: Individuals aged 55 and older can continue to make an additional $1,000 catch-up contribution, which remains unchanged.
  2. Minimum Annual HDHP Deductibles:
    • Self-Coverage Only: The minimum deductible for self-coverage increases by $50 to reach $1,650.

    • Self-Coverage Only: ACA maximum will decrease to $9,200, a reduction of $250 from 2024.
